I really like everything about this coffeemaker. It's very attractive (classy), it's very easy to use, and makes a great cup of coffee. I wanted a coffeemaker that was white (hard to find) to match my other appliances. This one fills the bill perfectly. It has a nice shape with just a touch of silver accents. It's easy to fill and very simple to operate. I also like the "beeps" when the coffee is ready and the "beeps" when it's about to cut off. The coffee stays very hot on the warming plate until it cuts off 2 hours later. The price is very reasonable and I feel it was a great purchase.
One negative I constantly read about on the Mr. Coffees is that it's so easy to spill the water or coffee. All I can say to that is to be careful and pour slowly. I have had no issues. It is not designed to "dump" coffee in your cup. Relax, pour slowly, and enjoy a great cup of joe!
Okay, so maybe my old unit that kicked the bucket after 10 years spoiled me, but it had a deep basket and I could easily put enough coffee in it for the full 12 cups and have it strong too. Not this one. I compared the units of the newer and older type at a store today (they did not have the white unit in the older type that I wanted)and discovered that the basket was indeed a good half inch shallower on this newer model. I don't know what the story is, but manufacturer designers are moving away from white these days and units are heavily oriented to black of stainless steel. Oh well.
