The pot is very versatle. I can put a tea bag or loose tea in the 1 cup side while making a pot of coffee on the other. I can use the Senseo type pods or regular coffee on the 1 cup side. I like having different options.
This is the worst coffee maker I have ever had the displeasure of owning. It does not matter how much coffee you use, it ends up tasting like coffee flavored water. I even ground the coffee beans and then made the coffee using three different amounts of grinds and used the bold setting and it still tasted like water. Another issue is that this coffee machine does not brew hot coffee. I had to microwave my coffee after brewing. My search for the perfect coffee machine is over. I've tried Keurig's that only last a year before the pump fails, single serve brew systems that make weak coffee and now this piece of junk. I finally broke down and bought a Bodum French press and now finally I have the best tasting coffee! There is no substitute to the taste of coffee using a french press. Not too mention how much cheaper it is to make coffee. I don't think people realize how much money they spend on K cups for inferior coffee. Crazy! Do yourself a favor and do not make the same mistake I did by buying this machine!
